The Astute online course provides students with one-to-one or small group learning opportunities with our Tutors. We maintain a high-quality English language learning experience. Therefore, Astute Tutors must demonstrate a positive attitude and enthusiasm towards teaching the English Language.
Each student completes a comprehension test before being assigned the most appropriate tutor, to match their specific needs. When matching students to tutors, we take into account precise requirements and match you to the student depending on their current level of English and their individual targets for the end of the course.

How it WOrks
Application

DBS Check
We will request a DBS check-up, and ask you to send proof of your relevant experience and qualification.
Match
During the booking we will match you to the most suitable student depending on their objective of learning.
Prepare
One you receive confirmation of a booking, you will be required to prepare suitable course content depending on the students' results on the competency test.

Qualification
We are always keen to hear from qualified and experienced teachers. If you have a recognised EFL qualification (such as the CELTA or Cert TESOL), we can offer you courses with all age groups.
If you have a relevant PGCE (Primary, MFL or English), we can offer you courses with Young Learners (YLs).
